Colchester Zoo is one of the finest Zoos in Europe due to a constant programme of development and has won many awards including the coveted Large Visitor Attraction of the Year" Award and the "Sustainable Tourism Award". Colchester Zoo is well worth a visit with over 270 species, set in 60 acres of beautiful parkland and lakes, over 50 daily displays, an undercover soft play area, 4 adventure play areas, The Lost Madagascar Express road train and so much more! Visitors can interactively learn about the many species and about the conservation work, which is carried out in projects worldwide.

Colchester Zoo host a year full of great events for all to enjoy and offer a number of unique experiences and packages, including animal experiences, annual passes and animal adoptions. As Colchester Zoo receives no external funding every visit which is made helps Colchester Zoo to constantly evolve and helps with their continuous plans to expand and develop to ensure that every visit is different!
